Massage & Manual Therapies -
Rates are $60-115
Human & Equine/Animal Bodywork
A
therapy session consists of a variety of techniques
depending on the clients needs and tolerance levels. The session
will typically consists of Swedish Massage, fascial and myofascial
release work, acupressure/trigger point work, deep tissue massage,
gymnastics and stretching as indicated.
Regardless of which therapeutic modality is used,
I try to listen to the client and observe how much can be tolerated. Animals in
particular will object to techniques that are too invasive. Some
discomfort cannot be avoided, but should always be minimized.
The initial session
may run longer than one hour because it is important to me
that the session is complete as possible. It requires obtaining
specific data related to medical history, behavioral issues,
performance ,tack fit, postural and gait assessment.
At the end of the session the
client will receive
a completed SOAP chart report that provides notes on the assessment and
therapy session as well as any follow up recommendations, such as
therapeutic exercises.
Postural & Gait Assessment of Horse & Rider
Imbalances in the horse are often
related to imbalances in the rider. Horse and rider team evaluations
are also available. The evaluation will generally be conducted as a
separate session.
Rates are $40
for 1/2 hour session or $60 (regular session) per hour & $115 (deep
tissue session)
Group discounts are available - please call for details.
Veterinary Referral
Please consult with your veterinarian first if your horse has any
serious health or soundness issues. Any bodywork may be
contraindicated in such cases. Only a veterinarian can diagnose
health issues.
